We are a diverse school community from many countries and share many cultures, languages, traditions and religions. We are all equal and we are all very happy to belong to the community that is Scoil Mháthair Dé.
We ask you to always try your best, be kind to everybody and show good example. In Scoil Mháthair Dé we always keep our school rules and we are all proud of our school and proud of our pupils. It is very important to us that we all respect each other.
We celebrated lots of activities for Anti-bullying week and focused on the importance of Friendship during Anti-bullying week. Many pupils wore something blue on 'Blue Friday' to make a statement against bullying. See Sixth Class photograph opposite as they celebrated Blue Friday next
It is time to bring completed application forms to the school office for pupils who are ready to begin school in September 2017. Forms can be downloaded from the website.
Music is beginning as an after-school programme on Tuesday November 8th in Room 10. The Junior group will begin at 1.45pm and the Senior group at 2.45. This is a wonderful opportunity for all the pupils that have registered. Drama will continue on Wednesdays in Room 9 at the same times.
A sincere to thank you to everybody who contributed €2 to Colours Day recently. We collected €403 for BLUEBOX therapies which is very much appreciated.

The school will be closed for one week for Mid-Term break from Monday October 31st to Friday November 4th. Wishing all children and their families a relaxing Mid-Term holiday. The school will reopen on Monday November 7th.

After-school drama lessons began this week. A Junior Drama group starts at 1.45 for one hour and a Senior Group at 2.45. Drama classes take place on Wednesday afternoons in the Junior Infants Room 9. Children can be collected in the yard.
