We welcome all the new pupils who have joined our school this year and welcome back all of our existing pupils.

Our wish for you is that you will be very happy in Scoil Mháthair Dé and we want you all to achieve to the best of your ability and reach your full potential.

We are a diverse school community from many countries and share many cultures, languages, traditions and religions. We are all equal and we are all very happy to belong to the community that is Scoil Mháthair Dé.

We ask you to always try your best, be kind to everybody and show good example.  In Scoil Mháthair Dé we always keep our school rules and we are all proud of our school and proud of our pupils. It is very important to us that we all respect each other.

School will open on September 1st for all our pupils. We look forward to welcoming everybody back for the new school year 2020-21. Parents will be informed re changes that will be in place for our return to school over the next few weeks when all plans have been finalised. Booklists are

summer holidays

 School will close on June 26th at the end of term to begin school holidays. We wish every family a wonderful relaxing holiday after a very busy third term. Details re the reopening of our school for the new school year will be shared with all families as soon as possible. In the meantime


 Your child's school report will be emailed on June 16th to all families. All parents will have the opportunity to email your child's teacher to arrange a chat if you would like that between then and June 26th to discuss your child's progress in school.


 Sixth Class will be graduating on Friday June 19th online. This will be our first ever virtual graduation in SMD. Congratulations in advance to all the wonderful pupils in Rang 6 who have been working on line since March 13th. Well done on all the great work you have been doing on Edmodo


 This year our annual 'Sports Day' will be a family fun-filled day held at home on Friday June 12th 2020 and will be a Sports Day with a difference. Please refer to guidelines and slide-show sent to your by your child's class teacher. Have fun! Hope it is an alternative school day with


The school calendar for 2019-2020 outlines the days the children will be free from school in June. After the Bank Holiday on Monday June 1st the school will be closed for the remainder of the week. There will be no school and no homework from June 1st to June 5th incl. Thanks sincerely to


 School will remain closed for the remainder of this school year as government restrictions for lockdown continue to apply. All children will continue to learn from home as parents and teachers support each other to make this happen to the very best of our ability for all our children.
