We welcome all the new pupils who have joined our school this year. Our wish for you is that you will be very happy in Scoil Mháthair Dé and we want you all to achieve to the best of your ability and reach your full potential

We are a diverse school community from many countries and share many cultures, languages, traditions and religions. We are all equal and we are all very happy to belong to the community that is Scoil Mháthair Dé.

We ask you to always try your best, be kind to everybody and show good example. Always keep our school rules. We are all proud of our school and proud of our pupils. It is very important to us that we all respect each other.

Applications for September 2020 are being accepted now. To register interest in a place for a pupil in SMD please download the necessary form .  After-school soccer training will resume on Thursday January 12th  for pupils in 4th 5th and 6th classes and will continue every Thursday afternoon from 2.45-3.45pm.  A fee of €2 must be given to the coach at each session please. Permission forms must be signe

 We celebrated lots of activities for Anti-bullying week and focused on the importance of Friendship during Anti-bullying week. Many pupils wore something blue on 'Blue Friday' to make a statement against bullying. See Sixth Class photograph opposite as they celebrated Blue Friday next


 It is time to bring completed application forms to the school office for pupils who are ready to begin school in September 2017. Forms can be downloaded from the website.

AFTER-SCHOOL Drama and Music

 Music is beginning as an after-school programme on Tuesday November 8th in Room 10. The Junior group will begin at 1.45pm and the Senior group at 2.45. This is a wonderful opportunity for all the pupils that have registered. Drama will continue on Wednesdays in Room 9 at the same times.


A sincere to thank you to everybody who contributed €2 to Colours Day recently. We collected €403 for BLUEBOX therapies which is very much appreciated. 


Calling on all ladies to run, walk or jog in the Limerick Mini Marathon that takes place on Sunday October 30th to raise money for the school's chosen charity 'BLUEBOX'. It's Halloween! Pupils will have the opportunity to dress up in Halloween theme on Friday October 28th but no masks or swords etc please! You are kindly asked to pay 2 euro for our Fundraiser and the money will go to BLUEBOX play therapies. We are delighted to be able to avail of BLUEBOX


The annual Parent-Teacher meetings will take place in the school on Tuesday Oct 25th and Wednesday Oct 26th for all parents.  It is very important that parents link up with teachers to discuss a child's progress. Every effort has been made to make this easy for parents who have more than


The school will be closed for one week for Mid-Term break from Monday October 31st to Friday November 4th. Wishing all children and their families a relaxing Mid-Term holiday. The school will reopen on Monday November 7th.
