UPDATE: We are re-opening on Monday Oct 22nd at 9am

Scoil Mháthair Dé was closed on Thursday Oct 18th and Friday Oct 19th as emergency work needed to be carried out with the heating system. There was a breakdown of essential heating in the school. Thanking all parents for their understanding in this matter.

It is hoped the school will be open on Monday October 22nd but this will be confirmed by text to all parents and a notice will be posted on this website. Many thanks.


Our Annual Cake Sale for 'Bluebox' therapies held in our school will take place on Wednesday next Oct 24th from 10am-12 noon. All pupils are asked to buy lots of delicious treats on the day as we aim to collect funds for 'Bluebox' therapies in our school. Pupils are asked to bring money to school so they can go to the sale and buy and we will give the money to 'Bluebox'. Parents are kindly asked to bake and buy as without the baking we will have nothing to sell! Thanks in advance!


All of our pupils are encourage to dress up in Fancy-Dress on Thursday next Oct 25th. This year we are collecting €2 from all pupils for much needed Numeracy resources. Pupils can choose to dress in a Halloween costume or in an imaginary fancy-dress costume or just simply wear their own clothes on the day. It will be a uniform-free day. Please pay ONLINE. Your support is much appreciated and thank you.


The school will be closed on the following dates: Oct 26th-Nov 3rd incl. On Friday Oct 26th the school will be used for voting in the Presidential Election. Monday Oct 29th is a Bank holiday. The school will be closed for the rest of the week to Friday Nov 3rd for Mid-Term break when every school in the country will be closed. We will reopen on Monday November 5th at 9am.
