We welcome all the new pupils who have joined our school this year. Our wish for you is that you will be very happy in Scoil Mháthair Dé and we want you all to achieve to the best of your ability and reach your full potential

We are a diverse school community from many countries and share many cultures, languages, traditions and religions. We are all equal and we are all very happy to belong to the community that is Scoil Mháthair Dé.

We ask you to always try your best, be kind to everybody and show good example. Always keep our school rules. We are all proud of our school and proud of our pupils. It is very important to us that we all respect each other.

Applications for September 2020 are being accepted now. To register interest in a place for a pupil in SMD please download the necessary form . CONGRATULATIONS

 Congratulations to all the pupils from Sixth Class on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday May 27th in St Joseph's Church from Bishop Brendan Leahy. It is a very special occasion for all families involved.

BOOK RENTAL SCHEME

A Book Rental Scheme is running in the school to ease the financial burden on parents. Application forms will be sent home on May 17th and must be returned to the class teacher with the exact fee by the deadline of June 2nd. No applications will be processed after June 2nd. A deposit is

RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES

Congratulations to all the boys and girls from Second Class who received their First Holy Communion in St. Joseph's Church on Saturday May 6th. It is a very special day for pupils and their families. 

MEETING FOR PARENTS OF NEW PUPILS

READING RECOVERY:PETITION

 In Scoil Mháthair Dé we are concerned that our Reading Recovery teachers will not have access to a full time teacher leader in Limerick Education Centre for the 2017/18 school year. Please help us by signing a petition to have this teacher leader retained to support our Reading Recovery te

MAY BANK HOLIDAY

 School will be closed Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd for the May Bank holiday. Wishing all families a lovely weekend.

SCHOOL SHOW

Rehearsals for our school show begin this week as we begin our final term. All classes in the school will be rehearsing every Tuesday and Wednesday. Every pupil in the school will have an opportunity to perform on stage! Performances will be held May 31st and June 1st 2017. Different classes

JUMBLE SALE 2017

A Jumble Sale can be a fun event where everything and anything is bought and sold! We are holding a Jumble Sale in our school to help with the costs of the forthcoming School Show. It would be super if some parents are free to help on the day. Everybody can help by contributing in some way.

MUSIC GENERATION
