It is very important for 6th class pupils and their parents to visit Secondary School Open nights before making choices of where pupils will go to Secondary School in September. Open nights have been held since early September. Please refer to the following remaining dates and schools
After-school drama lessons began this week. A Junior Drama group starts at 1.45 for one hour and a Senior Group at 2.45. Drama classes take place on Wednesday afternoons in the Junior Infants Room 9. Children can be collected in the yard.
Scoil Mháthair Dé is a Health Promoting School. Please make healthy choices for your children's lunches in school. No sweets, biscuits, fizzy drinks, crisps or sweets. Let's all help to make good habits and good choices part of our day. Let's show good example. Thank you for supporting us
Geoff Hunt a biodiversity specialist who visits our school every year and is building on our Biodiversity Plan with the pupils. Today he met with the pupils from Junior Infants to Second Class to explore the world of animals and help us prepare the school to look after our native birds.

It has been agreed that a job sharing position will exist again in Third Class for this school year. Two teachers will be responsible for teaching the class and will work on a week on- week off basis. Parents of the pupils in this class are invited to a meeting at 2.45pm on Wednesday 1
