We welcome all the new pupils who have joined our school this year and welcome back all of our existing pupils.

We are a diverse school community from many countries and share many cultures, languages, traditions and religions. We are all equal and we are all very happy to belong to the community that is Scoil Mháthair Dé.
We ask you to always try your best, be kind to everybody and show good example. In Scoil Mháthair Dé we always keep our school rules and we are all proud of our school and proud of our pupils. It is very important to us that we all respect each other.
Homework will be communicated to parents via Aladdin Connect during school closure. Please don't stress over homework. This is a difficult time for everybody as we follow direction from Public Health. Encourage children to continue with lots of reading.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated on Feb 11th every year in the EU. Parents are encouraged to visit www.webwise.ie for further information and resources to work with all our children to make the internet safer.
Scoil Mháthair Dé will be closed on Friday January 24th and Monday January 27th to facilitate In-Service and training for staff in the new Primary Language Curriculum.

A Book Fair will be held in the school from 26th February - 3rd March. All pupils will have the opportunity to browse and purchase books. Parents are welcome to browse and buy each day 9am-10am and 1pm- 2pm. This is a great opportunity to encourage your child to read more.
Our Christmas Celebrations concert will take place on Thursday Dec 19th at 11am. All parents and friends are invited to celebrate with us.
